management level within administration, economics,
general management, marketing and organisation in the hotel,
tourism and service sectors.

Structure and Content
The AP Programme in Service, Hospitality and Tourism Management
is a two-year programme where the students specialize in hotel and
restaurant management, tourism management or service
management.
The programme take two academic years and consists of four
semesters. The overall structure of the programme is shown

The AP Programme in Service, Hospitality & Tourism
Management includes a three-month industrial placement in the
beginning of the 3'rd smester.
The placement must be undertaken in a company that is related to
the student's specialization. The purpose of the placement is that
the student gains practical insight into the activities and
responsibilities of a middle manager within the chosen area.
The placement can take place in either Denmark or abroad. While
many students do their placements in Denmark and other
EU-countries, students have completed placements in for example the
USA, Switzerland, Fiji, Brazil and Peru.
The students are responsible for finding placement companies. The
college does, however, offer students assistance in the
progress.
During the industrial placement, the students start working on
their dissertations that take their points of departure in the
placement companies.
The AP Programme in Service, Hospitality & Tourism
Management has two main groups of subjects: Manatory subjects are
common to all students and a specialization that is chosen by the
students on an individual basis.

relevant to managerns in service companies. The subjects take their

Graduates from the AP Programme in Service, Hospitality &
Tourism Management find employment within the hospitality and
tourism industries as well as in the service sector in general.
Graduates wirh extensive work experience commonly take on
middle-management positions, while graduates with less work
experience usually assume operations positions after
graduation.

Copenhagen Hospitality College offers a BA in International
Hospitality Management. The BA takes 18 months for graduates from
the AP Programme in Service, Hospitality & Tourism Management
and gives students the opportunity to combine their studies with
exchanges or industrial placements in other
countries.
Furthermore, the College has agreements with universities in
Europe and abroad that enable graduates from the AP Programme in
continue their studies towards a bachelor's degree in hospitality
management, tourism management or service management.
Applicants who want to apply for admission to the AP Programme
in Service, Hospitality & Tourism management must satisfy the
following admission requirements:
An upper secondary school diploma with business accounting or
mathematics on level C
or
a technical education as a waiter, receptionist or chef
or
a technical education relating to event coordination, office
work, retail, wholesale or baker's ot butchering trade.
In addition, all applicants must have advanced qualifications in
English corresponding to IELTS 6 - 6,5 and should be prepared to
participate in an English test at Copenhagen Hospitality
College.
Some applicants are required to supplement their upper secondary
school diploma with a number of years of university depending on
where they have completed upper secondary school.
The College recommends that all applicants attain qualifications
in business accounting om level C prior to the beginning of the
programme. The College offers courses in this subject immediately
prior to the beginning of the programme in August.
Copenhagen Hospitality College attanches great importance to the
fact that applicants have work experience from hotels, tourism
companies or the service sector in general.
Applicants who want to apply for admission to the programme must
do so via the Coordinated Enrollment System (Den Koordinerede
Tilmelding). Application forms are available from the beginning of
Febraury. The deadline for submitting applications is March 15 for
applicants with foreign qualifications, while applicants with
Danish qualifications should submit their applications in the
beginning of June, while all other applicants receive their results
on July 30.
Tuition Fee, Scholarships and Study Grants
Student who are not citizens of an EU-country or a country
associated with the EU (i-e. Norway, Iceland, Switzerland or
Liechtenstein) are charged a tuition fee. Students who have
permanent residence permits or residence permits in anticipation of
permant stay in Denmark are not charged a tuition fee regardless of
citizenship.
The fee is DKK 33,000 per semester that is payable before the
beginning of each semester.
The Danish Ministry og Education manages a scholarship programme
that includes a limited number og scholarships to highly qualified
students om the AP Programme who are not citizens of an EU-country
or a country associated with the EU. The students must satisfy all
admission requirements of the AP Programme, submit their
applications before March 15 and have extensive work experience or
have completed a similar programme om a lower level.
Copenhagen identifies and recommends eligible applicants to the
Ministry of Education that awards the scholarships. Applicants can
find more information about the scholarship programme om

Colleges's study counselors assist applicants with information
pertaining to the programme.
